Jane Torrance

Jane Torrance is a current Councillor representing Almonte Ward on Mississippi Mills Council. She was born in Peterborough and grew up on a farm nearby. She married Mike Kehoe in 1984 and moved to Almonte in 1992 with their four children (Emily, Gillian, Callaghan, and Liam).

She became heavily involved in community volunteering (school council, The Hub, and many other organizations/events), first ran for Council in 2003, and was re-elected in 2006 and 2014. She also worked as Community Coordinator for the Lanark County Planning Council for Children, Youth and Families and as interim Lanark Regional Director for the United Way.
